Parts of Speech

Parts of Speech  

      Whatever we speak or write is called speech. In English language, There are 8 parts (according to British English)and 9 parts ( according to american English including Article) of speech.

1. Noun(संज्ञा ):-

   Noun is the name of any person , place or things.
e.g. Aparna, tree, boy, pen, etc.
  संज्ञा  अर्थात  NOUN  किसी प्राणी, वस्तु, स्थान के नाम को कहते है।
उदाहरण :- अपर्णा , पेड़ , लड़का , कलम।

2 pronoun (सर्वनाम )

     Pronoun is a word, used in place of noun.
e.g. he, she, it, they, you, we etc.
  सज्ञा के स्थान पर प्रयुक्त होने वाले शब्दों को सर्वनाम कहते है।
उदाहरण :- वह ,वे ,ये , तुम, आप, तुम्हारा, हम।

3. Adjective (विशेषण )

     Adjective is a word which qualifies noun or pronoun.
e.g. happy, sad, hot, famous, blunt etc.
सज्ञा व सर्वनाम शब्दों  की विशेषता बताने वाले शब्द को विशेषण\ कहते है।
उदाहरण :- अच्छा , बुरा, समझदार , ईमानदार।

4. Verb (क्रिया )

  A verb is a word, which shows actions overall happenings.
e.g. sing, play, go come, see etc.
क्रिया अर्थात कर्म।  काम को बताने वाले शब्द क्रिया कहलाते है।
उदाहरण:- गाना , खेलना , जाना', आना , देखना।

5. Adverb (क्रिया विशेषण )

An adverb is a word, which modifies verb, adjective and itself.
e.g. very, slow, fast, beautifully etc.
 सामान्यतः सज्ञा व सर्वनाम को छोड़कर सभी शब्दों की विशेषता बताने वाला शब्द कृता विशेषण कहलाते है।
उदाहरण:- बहुत,

6. Preposition (संबंधकारक )

A preposition is a word, which shows a relationship between noun with other word of the sentence.
e.g. on over, in, over, under etc

संज्ञा और वाक्य के दूसरे शब्दों के बीच संबंध बताने वाले शब्द संबंधकारक कहलाते है।
उदाहरण:- में, पर, ऊपर,निचे, पीछे। 

7. Conjunction(संयोजक शब्द )

A conjunction is a word, which joins words or sentence.
e.g. if, and, but, because, so that etc.
दो या दो से अधिक शब्दों तथा वाक्यो को जोड़ने वाले शब्द संयोजक शब्द CONJUCTION कहलाते है।
उदाहरण:- और , किन्तु ,ताकि।

 

8. Interjection( विष्मयाधिबोधक )

An interjection is a word, which expresses sudden feeling.
e.g. bravo, hurry, oh, alas etc.
अचानक आई हुई मन की भावना का शब्दों द्वारा अभिव्यक्तिकरण कहलाता है।
 उदाहरण:- उह , अरे ,शाबास।

9. Article()

'A' 'AN' and 'THE' are the three articles.
