Number

 Number is divided into two parts.
1.Singular number (एकवचन )
2. Plural number(बहुवचन )

Rules-

Rule 1-

    In some singular noun we add 's' to make plural.
   's' लगाकर  बहुवचन बनाये जाते है।
e.g. 

• Joy-joys
• Chair-chairs
• Radio-radios
• Canto-cantos
• Piano-pianos

• book - books

• Hand-hands

Rule 2.

the singular noun in which be have 'x' ,'s', 'ss', 'sh',  as the last letters . we add 'es'  to make plural.
जब एकवचन संज्ञा के  अंतिम अक्षर  'x' ,'s', 'ss', 'sh'   हो तब बहुवचन बनाने के लिए  'es'  जोड़ते है।
e.g. bus - buses
Bush - bushes
Box - boxes
Glass - glasses
Class - classes

Rule 3. -

 the singular noun, which ends with the letters 'ch' and if the letters ch  give sound च  then we add es to make plural.
जब एकवचन संज्ञा के  अंतिम अक्षर 'ch' हो और उसका उच्चारण च  हो तब बहुवचन बनाने के लिए  'es'  जोड़ते है।
E.g. bench - benches

Rule 4.-

the singular noun, which ends with the letters 'ch' and if the letters ch give sound  क  then we add s to make plural.
जब एकवचन संज्ञा के  अंतिम अक्षर 'ch' हो और उसका उच्चारण क  हो तब बहुवचन बनाने के लिए  's'  जोड़ते है।
E.g. stomach - stomachs

Rule 5.-

 the singular noun in which we have o as last letter. If there is any vowel before it then we add s to make plural.
जब एकवचन संज्ञा के  अंतिम अक्षर o हो और उसके ठीक पहले कोई स्वर हो तब बहुवचन बनाने के लिए  's'  जोड़ते है।
E.g. cuckoo - cuckoos
Bamboo - bamboos

Rule 6 - 

the singular nous in which we have o as last letter and before it if there is any consonant then, we add es to make plural.
जब एकवचन संज्ञा के  अंतिम अक्षर o हो और उसके ठीक पहले कोई व्यंजन  हो तब बहुवचन बनाने के लिए  'es'  जोड़ते है।
E.g. mango - mangoes
Tomato - tomatoes

Rule 7.- 

in some singular nouns, we turn oo into ee to make plural
एकवचन संज्ञा को बहुवचन में बदलने के लिए oo को ee में बदलते  है।

E.g. foot - feet
Tooth  - teeth
Goose - geese

Rule 8.- 

 the singular nouns which ends with the letter y and if there is any vowel just before it then we add s to make plural.
जब एकवचन संज्ञा के  अंतिम अक्षर y हो और उसके ठीक पहले कोई स्वर  हो तब बहुवचन बनाने के लिए  's'  जोड़ते है।
E.g. boy - boys
Donkey- donkeys

Rule 9.-

 the singular nouns which ends with the letter y and if there is any  consonant just before it then to make plural we remove y and add ies.
जब एकवचन संज्ञा के  अंतिम अक्षर y हो और उसके ठीक पहले कोई व्यंजन  हो तब बहुवचन बनाने के लिए  ies  जोड़ते है
E.g. baby - babies
Hobby - hobbies

Rule 10.- 

in some compound singular noun we add s in the main word to make plural.
संयुक्त शब्दों में से मुख्य शब्द में  s जोड़कर बहुवचन बनाये जाते है।
E.g. father-in-law - fathers- in-law
Mother- in- law - mothers-in-law

Rule 11.-

 the singular noun in which we have f ,fe as last letters. To make plural, we remove f, fe  and add ves
जब एकवचन संज्ञा के  अंतिम अक्षर f ,fe हो तब बहुवचन बनाने के लिए f ,fe हटाकर,  ves जोड़ते है।
E.g. leaf - leaves
Knife - knives

Rule 12.-

in some compound singular noun which made by man and woman then we make both the side plural.
कुछ संयुक्त शब्दो में दोनों शब्दो को बहुवचन बनाया जाता है ।
E.g. Man teacher - Men Teachers
Woman servant - Women servants

Rule 13.-

किसी अक्षर(letter) , अंक(number) ,संक्षिप्त  शब्द(Abbreviation) , शब्द(word) के अंत में  Apostrophe s ('s)लगाकर plural बनाया जाता है । जैसे -
K - K's
2 - 2's
M.A. - M.A.'s
